Creative Imitation or Plagiarism

What’s the difference between creative imitation and plagiarism?

Creative imitation is the process of modeling someone with more experience whose methods have proved successful. It is a starting place – an entry point, if you will, for a person to take off on his/her own. It is NOT plagiarism.

Read the definition of plagiarism -

The act of appropriating the literary composition of another author, or excerpts, ideas, or passages therefrom, and passing the material off as one’s own creation.

Plagiarism is theft of another person’s writings or ideas. Generally, it occurs when someone steals expressions from another author’s composition and makes them appear to be his own work.

The Wizard Spoke at Bridging Heart and Marketing

The WordPress Wizard spoke at Bridging Heart and Marketing II in Los Angeles over the weekend!

The seminar itself was amazing. I’m sure lives were changed this weekend – and it’s all due to Judith and Jim and their vision for heart based marketing.

This is something that has been sorely missing from the internet marketing arena. Their concept is that we can sell from our hearts. And what a welcome concept it is!

The Wizard’s Love/Hate Relationship with Google

Google Chrome Just downloaded Chrome, Google’s new browser. If you know me at all, you know I preach about FireFox. Well, Google might (I said MIGHT) have a convert. Download it at Google’s Chrome page.It’s a fast little thing, I’ll give it that! I’m doing this post in Chrome as we speak. Go give it a try – you might like it. As an added incentive, it imports all FireFox settings. Doesn’t have all my toolbars – yet. If I can’t get them, I won’t use this. If I can, I’ll seriously think about it.
