@Cathy: You were lucky to get your name, unfortunately my preferred name wasn’t valid (only 4 characters). I got my second preferred name thanks to an alarm that I had set

Thanks for the post. Wow, I didnt know that it is so easy to find people on FaceBook. I just logged on FaceBook not long ago and have only some friends there. Now I can find anyone I want and also made new acquintances. This service "vanity names" is a good idea.

Hi Cathy, May name is not unique. I sat on Facebook watching the countdown clock last night so I could get my name the way I wanted it "sharonhill". Now my FB name matches my twitter name. It wasn't on the list to select from, I clicked "more" and filled in the blank so people shouldn't assume the name they want is gone just because it isn't listed.
