BlogRush - Why It’s No Longer On My Blog

BlogRush is gone. In case you are wondering why, let me explain. In a word, why do you want to send people away from your site? Are you hoping that by participating in the network you will get hordes of traffic? When it is possible to look at your statistics in BlogRush, see how many clickthroughs you have. Meanwhile, with BlogRush on your blog you are sending people away.

I’ve been reading what people I admire are saying. I am one of you who jumped on the BlogRush bandwagon the minute I heard about it. Check out what Jon Symons has to say over at The Art Of Money. The WPDesigner (one of my favorite people) is even more plain spoken. “If you’re one of the hundreds of thousands of bloggers that bought into the Blog Rush hype of easy targeted traffic for no work at all then do your blog a favor and uninsall that ugly thing. You’ve been wamboozled.”

Doesn’t it make more sense to advertise your other sites? This morning I installed a Spring Widget on this blog to advertise my Article Directory and a widget on my Article Directory to advertise my blog. Doesn’t this make a lot more sense?
