Saved? Well, not my life but my sanity.
I was in San Francisco recently for Alex Mandossian’s Teleseminar Secrets Reunion. When I got to Atlanta I found that I had no car keys!
Was I just a bit freaked out about it? Total understatement. My car key has a computer chip in it which is programmed specifically to the computer in the car.
When I got to my hotel, I tweeted about my predicament and within just a few minutes I had MANY tweets about it. Thanks to my Twitter friends I had information about the closest Toyota dealership and lots of information about the stupid computer in the car which runs the whole thing.
For those of you who don’t understand why Twitter is imiportant, just think about this one incident. In addition to tweets I had e-mails and phone calls from people who knew my cell number! Besides the information I knew there were people who care and that’s what saved my sanity.
Thank you Twitter and thank you to ALL my friends. I cherish you.

Kathy – thanks for sharing that great story.
I know Twitter has lots of great uses – but that's a new one!

Hi Cathy, I don't know that I would have thought to tweat about lost car keys. I guess that's why you are a Wizard you think in possibilities and not conventions. I'll keep your example in mind as I expand my use of Twitter.
Thanks,
Charles
Welcome back Cathy. I just love Twitter for all the wonderful friends that it connects us with. I'm really proud of your followers and friends and how they came to your support. All of these amazing people are there and Twitter allows you to connect easily with them.
We missed you Cathy!
The one time that comes to memory was last year when we had a "tornado scare" here in NYC.
NEVER having Tornados and living in a high rise apartment building I was terrified to say the least. The people here were unprepared and did not know what to do… People who reached out to me VIA Twitter helped me stay calm-er. As it turned out the tornado went the other way, but for that brief time, I at the least had contact with the outside world – via Twitter – with people who knew more than I did.

Cathy… How do I upload my picture so that it displays with my blog comment. Thanks. Roz
Hi Cathy,
I'm so glad you tweeted about your problem and got help.
Personally, I was glad I was able to tweet you and know you were okay.

Go to http://en.gravatar.com/ and follow their surprisingly clear instructions. Everywhere that uses gravatars will display yours too,
Sharon – I got notice of your comment but it isn't on the blog anywhere. Are you able to comment on other blogs? The only other time I've heard of this was on Alex's blog when several people could not comment.
I'm going to try to add your comment as you. Don't know if I will be successful or not.

So glad you were able to deal with your predicament. I'd be freaked, too! Only I don't text msg so I wouldn't have to rethink that. Looking forward to your class, btw. Everybody reading this–take Cathy's class about Blogging with WordPress in a Web 2.0 World. I'm retaking it and can't wait.
That really shows ingenuity. I dont think I would have thought of using Twitter for that purpose. It just goes to show us what a valuable tool Twitter has become. I will never forget about it after hearing about this. Thanks Lauren
And it was people especially like you who helped me become a bit more calm and able to think. I really appreciate your concern for my safety. You rock!
